About
I’m a Senior Full Stack Engineer at PoliteMail, where I’ve spent my career shipping production software — from backend data pipelines to a full front-end migration to a Microsoft Teams application built on AI-driven sentiment analysis. Outside of my day job, I’m deep in AI engineering: using tools like Claude Code to build my own portfolio of agentic applications and sharpen skills in areas my career hasn’t touched yet, like AWS and Python.
I’m also a lifelong competitive runner and an adaptive skiing coach. Both have shaped how I lead engineering teams as much as any codebase has — discipline, iteration, and showing up for the people you work with translate directly. I actively seek out the harder version of the job — leading the Teams product from a whiteboard conversation to a fully architected, enterprise-ready product is one example — and I invest in becoming a better leader with the same discipline I bring to running.
I live in Montana with my wife and our paralyzed dog, and most of what isn’t code or a race bib in my life revolves around the two of them.
This section is split into a few parts:
- Career — C Squared Systems and PoliteMail, from first ownership to leading a new product from idea to launch
- AI Engineering — what I’m building now and why
- Background — how a cross country team and a Visual Basic class turned into a software career
- Education — University of New Hampshire, Computer Science, and balancing D1 athletics with a CS degree
- Running & Coaching — marathons, ultras, and adaptive coaching
