Running & Coaching
Running has been a constant throughout my life, from my first cross country race in middle school through four Division I seasons at UNH and into the marathons and trail ultras I run today. I’ve guided athletes with disabilities through several major races — Team With A Vision at the Boston Marathon in 2017 and 2018, and a close friend with autism from 2019 to 2021. After moving to Montana, I shifted toward trail racing and have finished a handful of 30k and 50k races.
Adaptive Ski Coaching has run alongside racing for just as long. In high school, I was accepted into New England Disabled Sports’ Pre-Adaptive Coach (PAC) program, which trains coaches to teach skiing to individuals with disabilities. I started coaching there in 2010, and I’ve stayed involved ever since — today I coach seasonally with Eagle Mount in Montana each winter. Adapting an approach in real time to what a specific athlete needs has sharpened my leadership, communication, and patience in ways that carry directly into how I lead engineering teams.
